Northwestern University

 

As a Carnegie classification tier 1 research university on the banks of Lake Michigan, Northwestern’s Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME) allows high school students to apply for guaranteed admissions to Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Currently enrolled undergraduates are welcome to apply to Northwestern’s Undergraduate Premedical Scholars Program (NUPSP), another early acceptance program to Northwestern’s Feinberg SOM.   

DePaul University

 

In addition to strong pre-health advising program, DePaul’s School of Science and health offers the Dean’s Undergraduate Fellowship, a 10-week paid summer research internship program for undergraduates. Recent placements include the Chicago Department of Public Health, HIV/AIDS Unit and the Rush University Medical Center.  DePaul also sponsors the DePaul/Rosland Franklin University School of Medicine and Science Summer Research Program, another paid summer biomedical sciences research program for undergraduates.  By supporting paid placements in public health departments and top research institutions, DePaul students are able to gain an edge in the highly selective medical school admissions process. 

University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Chicago

 

The Career Center at UIUC offers an excellent pre-health advising program to ensure you stay on track with meeting the pre-med pre-requisites.  In addition to guiding you to taking the appropriate classes, UIUC staff maintain excellent relations with local and national employers allowing students to gain the clinical experience needed for medical school application success.
